When the Texas A&M baseball team returned from Omaha on Tuesday afternoon, head coach Jim Schlossnagle informed athletic director Trev Alberts about his decision to depart Aggieland for the opportunity to become leader of the Longhorns in Austin.

"After our baseball team arrived back in College Station earlier today, Jim informed me of his desire to leave Texas A&M. While we are certainly disappointed, we are grateful for his contributions in helping our baseball program…
