KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. — One person is dead after a crash involving a tractor-trailer on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Kershaw County Coroner’s Office.
According to the coroner’s office, 911 dispatchers got a call for an accident just before 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday for a crash involving a van and a tractor-trailer truck at the intersection of Lockhart and Providence Roads.
Trayvon Corbett, 24, of Charlotte, was pronounced dead at the scene. According to the coroner, Corbett was driving the van.
The coroner says the van was driving north on Providence Road and was hit after the driver didn’t stop at the stop sign on Lockhart Road.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
