Ben Askren vs. Jorge Masvidal (UFC 239)
One of the most amazing and quickest knockouts in the UFC came at UFC 239 where Ben Askren fought Jorge Masvidal and put his undefeated 19-0 record on stake. However, things went south for Askren as he went down in a record 5 seconds of the first round.
Masvidal caught Askren with a brutal flying knee right out of the gates and sent Askren to sleep. ‘Gamebred’ celebrated and mocked Askren, which seemed normal after he set a UFC record for the fastest knockout.
Ryan Jimmo vs. Anthony Perosh (UFC 149)
Ryan Jimmo just needed one punch to put out Australian veteran Anthony Perosh in UFC 149. This was a bad debut for Anthony Perosh.
The fight lasted for 7 seconds with two strikes, and the first one scored a knockout while the second one made sure that Perosh was out. This fight was contested in the light heavyweight division and happened in Calgary, Canada.
Mark Hominick vs. Chan Sung Jung (UFC 140)
Chan Sung Jung knocked out Mark Hominick in just 7 seconds and put himself in the list of the fastest knockouts secured in UFC history.
As the match started, Mark tried to strike but missed and then the next punch was on his face by Korean Zombie, which made him down. This was Chan Sung Jung’s second fight in the UFC and it happened at Toronto, Canada in 2011.
Tim Hague vs. Todd Duffee (UFC 102)
The 4th fastest knockout in UFC history was secured by Todd Duffee against Tim Hague in UFC 102. This fight took place in the heavyweight division. Todd just finished Tim in 7 seconds of the first round and made a UFC record for one of the fastest knockout. UFC 102 happened in the Rose Garden of Portland, Oregon.
As the bout started Tim tried to make some moves, but the very first punch by Todd put him down, and then a rain of punches were poured on him by Duffee.
Don Frye vs. Thomas Ramirez(UFC 8)
UFC 8 was the first UFC event that took place outside the United States.
Frye was an accomplished wrestler and a professional boxer before switching to MMA. On the other hand, Thomas, who weighed 410 pounds was not so experienced. As the match started, Don Frye knocked out Thomas in 8 seconds and made history. This was the first and last fight of Thomas Ramirez in UFC.
