Who hasn’t heard of Hello Kitty? The fictional character produced by the Japanese company Sanrio is known all across the world with products everywhere splashing her cute little whiskered face all over it. Sanrio and Kitty have had many crossovers throughout their time together since the 70s and in more recent times in anime franchises like My Hero Academia, Stein’s Gate, and Mobile Suit Gundam.
This time, however, Sanrio is going down the gore filled streets of the dark fantasy Attack on Titan in one of its most grim crossovers to date.
For those who haven’t been keeping up to date with their anime, Attack on Titan has become one of the most popular anime series’ since its debut in 2013. The dark tale follows on from the manga and is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the remains of humanity live behind walls protecting them from giant humanoid Titans. The protagonist Eren Jaeger, along with the Survey Corps, fight against the Titans while investigating their origin and history.
Fans got a teaser for the upcoming Sanrio x Attack on Titan crossover from Twitter User Attack On Titan Wiki. In the tweet, the characters of Sanrio and the Hello Kitty universe were showcased in a very cute and adorable illustration. Underneath the image, comments have been left by fans who are very excited for this to happen so it’s certainly off to a good start!
If you’re excited for the anime series to come back with Season 4 Part 2, you won’t have too long to wait. Attack on Titan‘s final season is scheduled to start on January 9th, 2022
