A Nigerian man has revealed that he advised his son to stay away from ladies from a poor background.
The man, identified as Ola in a Twitter post, said girls from such homes always have an entitlement mentality and do not believe in love.
Ola, a writer, said from his own dating experience most women from poor backgrounds want to escape their miserable conditions. Also, he added that their families look up to them as the Messiah expected to lead them into a better life.

“I told my son yesterday to avoid dating a girl from a poor background. In my dating experience, most of them don’t believe in love, they just want to escape their unfortunate conditions. More so, they’re the saviours their families are banking on to lift them out of poverty.
They don’t appreciate little things; they believe you can do more,” he wrote.
Reacting to the post, some people criticised Ola, saying he wasn’t being objective enough and that some poor women are capable of loving. In contrast, others hailed him for telling the truth and saying that many ladies have the “I can’t suffer twice” mentality (from poor father to poor husband).

Broke Women Should Not Date Broke Men – Lady Warns Single Women In Poverty
In a related story, a young lady set social media on fire after she laid down some relationship tips, insisting that it was utterly disastrous for a woman in poverty to date a broke man.
