Blood Sweat and Heels' Mica Hughes on How to Achieve That Work-Life Balance

With the Golden Globes and the Girls season premiere happening, this Sunday is a big night for television. But don't forget to make time in your schedule (or on your DVR!) for Bravo's newest show, Blood Sweat and Heels. The show premiered last week, and I'm already addicted, so I thought I'd catch up with cast member Mica Hughes to get the scoop on what's to come in the season ahead. Tune in.

Tell me about the show! What will viewers see from you this season?

*For me, you can expect to see me juggle my professional and personal life, doing that in the big city of New York, and all the drama that New York brings. You'll see me go through a dramatic family loss, and then, of course, you're going to see some interesting relationships unfold into...something else. *Did you know the other women before you started taping?

I knew a few of the girls from being in the same social circles and a couple of friendships within the past year kind of developed. But some I met when we started taping.

How was filming? Did you find it different from or similar to modeling?

It's completely different from modeling. Modeling is just stand in front of the camera and look pretty, but now my whole life is in front of a camera—the good, the bad, the vulnerable. The schedule was pretty grueling, so they were a part of my life just about every day for a long period of time. This is really your life, your life on camera, so it's much more personal.

What were the hardest moments to film?

The hardest moment would be when I lost my dad and dealing with that. That was the most difficult time.
