A British man has been charged with kidnapping his two-year-old American daughter after the pair disappeared following a supervised visit on Christmas Eve.
Jack Perry, 31, is due in court to face one charge of kidnapping and one count of stealing his daughter Lucia from her mother at The Grove in Los Angeles on December 24.
He is being held on $1million bail and could face up to 14 years in prison if convicted.

Charges: Perry, who is in the middle of a divorce with Lucia's mother Elise, was on a supervised visit at the time and disappeared around 5pm
Perry was with his daughter Lucia at The Grove shopping center in LA when the person monitoring the pair lost sight of them.
The Los Angeles Police Department immediately set out to try and find Perry and the child and thanks to a tip were able to apprehend him in Palm Springs, 100 miles away, on Monday night.

Share 155 sharesPerry, who lives in Santa Monica, is currently in the middle of a divorce with Lucia's mother, Elise, who the young girl lives with according to KTLA.
It is still not clear why Perry was only allowed supervised visits with his daughters, or if he had plans to flee to England with his daughter.

Police said after the disappearance that Perry came from an affluent family and had access to private jets.
He was caught in Palm Springs where he had rented an apartment under a false name.
LAPD Officer Ricardo Hernandez said a resident spotted the two and recognized them from a community alert flyer sent out by police.
