‘Can you see me’: Baby sees mum clearly for first time, heartwarming video stirs reactions

The heartwarming moment a visually impaired baby is able to see clearly for the first time has struck a chord with netizens.

The undated video, which appears to have been shot in a doctor’s office, shows a professional putting glasses on the little youngster.

Some children are unable to fully experience the visual world due to biological constraints such as accommodative esotropia.

The child’s expression slowly turns into astonishment after the glasses are placed on his head, and he raises a finger to point at someone behind the camera, presumably his mother.

“What do you think? Can you see me?” the person asks the toddler in the video, prompting him to break out in a smile and point emphatically in her direction.
