CHARLOTTE — Crescent Communities and Pretium have revealed plans for their second build-to-rent project as part of a $1 billion joint venture. That project is also the joint venture’s first build-to-rent development in the Charlotte market.

The companies announced this week that construction has started on Harmon Ballantyne, a 60-home, single-family build-to-rent community on Marvin Road. The project is a sister community to Novel Ballantyne, a 285-unit apartment project that was announced last month, as part of a master-planned residential project.
The joint venture said the units are expected to be available to rent at Harmon Ballantyne in summer 2023.
