Erica was born on March 13, 1994, into the family of Eric Nlewedim and Oby Nwokolo in Abia State.
Her mother, a single parent, raised her. She attended Victory Grammar School in Lagos before transferring to Command Secondary School to finish her secondary education. She bagged a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Covenant University in 2013.

The Big Brother Naija housemates were gathered in the lounge, where Biggie presented tapes of Erica making death threats against Laycon and insulting him.
Another video was aired, where she was seen dumping water on the HoH’s bed to prevent Prince, her deputy, from sharing the lounge with her. However, the Nigerian social media arena was inundated with various remarks when she was dismissed, and many users pledged money to the reality TV star. It has also mimicked the conflicted responses that followed Tacha, a former BBNaija Pepper Dem housemate, being disqualified.
In July 2021, she, a controversial ex-housemate from the reality TV series Big Brother Naija, admitted that she suffered from severe anxiety when her time on the program ended.
