This special charge is only applicable to one set of golf equipment per customer.
One set of golf equipment is deemed to comprise:
1 golf bag containing not more than 14 golf clubs
Maximum of 12 golf balls
1 pair of golf shoes
Golf tees
Any additional golf sets shall be charged according to the standard excess baggage charges.
I interpret this that if you have 20kg baggage, and up to 15kg golf bag, you would pay $300 for the golf bag....which makes Ryan Air look good (I assume). The only way it's less than $300 is if your olf bag plus luggage comes in at under 26kg.
If this is correct I would be shipping my clubs seperately!!!
This is definitely the sort of thing to question via email before flying though - get it in writing and hope they put something nice in their response!
