Russell Wilson is the gift that keeps on giving. Not only has the quarterback had the worst season of his entire NFL career at 34, but he is also now facing criticism over having some additional privileges that not everyone in the Denver Broncos locker room has. As a matter of fact, he could be the only player on the team who has access to these facilities. Firstly, his massive 4-year $240+ million contract is quickly becoming one of the most expensive mistakes in the history of the NFL.
In addition to this, there have been rumors and reports that Russell Wilson is not the most vocal presence in the locker room. His leadership qualities have been questioned, and his image in the locker room has dwindled. Former teammates Marshawn Lynch and Richard Sherman had earlier stated this year that the QB was not the most accessible teammate which just makes fans want to believe these recent reports.
The latest report arrives courtesy of Shannon Sharpe, the Hall of Fame tight end and former Bronco who is well-connected with members of the team. On Fox Sports’ Undisputed, Sharpe pulled no punch while talking about Russell Wilson. This is what he had to say regarding the QB:
“I don’t know who the head coach is gonna be, but the first thing you do, ‘Russell Wilson, I’m locking this office. You will no longer have an office. All those parking spaces you get (at) the stadium, they’re gone too, because you’re putting yourself in front of the team.

Shannon Sharpe revealed the shocking fact that Russell Wilson has his own office:
From Shannon Sharpe’s statements, we get to know that Russ has his own office and, in all likelihood, more than one parking spot reserved exclusively for him. While it is justified to give players their own parking spots, more than one space may be going overboard. It also matters if other players have similar privileges, because if they do not, then it becomes a privilege that only Russ has access to.
The biggest issue here is, why does Wilson have an office? Russ comes into the facility to practice, work out, and rehab, and all of these activities are physical in nature. The team has separate facilities for each of these tasks. Apart from this, there are quarterback meetings and team meetings. In order to facilitate these, teams have made conference rooms and special places with state-of-the-art facilities. Which begs the question, what does Russell Wilson need an office for?
Is Russ moonlighting the Denver Broncos? Because if that were the case, it would justify the QB’s performance this season. With all these privileges and the manner in which he has performed on the field this season, it becomes extremely hard for fans to not get enraged. Make no mistake, if Russ had received this special treatment and had backed it up with a solid performance on the field and led the Broncos to the playoffs, nobody would have batted an eye.
Fans on Twitter did not hold back while expressing their honest thoughts about the preferential treatment accorded to the quarterback:
Give that man a studio apartment within the facility.
None of this is new. Also none of this is unique. This is typical for star QB. Peyton Manning had an office too. Tom Brady has an office. The problem is he isn’t winning. If he was no one would care about any of this. However, he has been bad so this is easy to point to

Exactly the point, as long as you justify all the privileges accorded to you by performing on the field, fans would have no reason to point fingers at you, however, when you do not do your job, it does become a huge issue, and validly so.
And kitchen which he barely cooks in

Well, he is married to Ciara, and his wife is bound to have had some influence on him.
Russell went from underdog, easy to root for Superbowl Champion to the most dislikable person in the National Football League.
It's honestly a shocking and unimaginable transformation. He was great… Now he stinks.
Next year we will find out if it was Hackett or him… Yikes.

It’s crazy to see how the perception of Russ has changed this season. He went from being the most consistent and reliable QBs to a man whose name fans do not wish to hear. Hopefully, he does come back stronger next year.
These are two things I’d assume he would get when becoming a franchise QB. How many millions did they give him again? That’s way more concerning than an office and a parking spot.

Fair point.
No chill.
Yall mad at him, when yall should be applauding his agent 🤣. He got him all of that, plus his cut!!

Next time you decide to negotiate with your boss to get an increment, call Wilson’s agent. That man’s going to get the job done, unlike his client.
He married a celebrity singer, began dressing more stylishly, appears at all televised award events and has grown soft and lazy. Tom Brady even sacrificed his marriage for football. Russell Wilson has stopped sacrificing anything for football.

Has Russell Wilson stopped trying? If anything, the quarterback should use all the negativity and hate that he has been subjected to this season to improve himself and come back as a different man next year. This one season has put a question mark over his potential Hall of Famer status. He needs to make certain changes and hopefully; he does manage to do what needs to be done. The Broncos have so much potential and it is nothing short of disappointing to see them underwhelm fans.
