Hell's Paradise Episode 4 Recap

Hells Paradise episode 5 release schedule

The episode started with a flashback, where we saw Gantetsusai recalling an encounter with a daimyo that led to him violently slashing his gate. In the present, Fuchi questioned Gantetsusai's violent nature, and they briefly clashed before Gantetsusai freed himself and demanded Fuchi not interfere.

They then ventured into the forest, and Gantetsusai shared his plan to eliminate everyone, so he could easily search for the Elixir of Life. On the other hand, Fuchi was worried about the shogun sending another party. They then come across statues and a giant monster, much to Gantetsusai's excitement.

While fighting a large fish monster, Gabimaru remembered the Iwagakure chief's lesson, not to fight anything unknown. However, they were soon surrounded by more monsters, forcing Gabimaru to battle. Sagiri watched in awe as Gabimaru slaughtered the monsters, and he also saved her from the attacks. Just as Gabimaru was caught in a monster's tail, an Asaemon arrived and beheaded the monster. Yuzuriha then approached Gabimaru and asked for a partnership, stating that they would find the Elixir of Life easily in the group.

Yuzuriha promised to offer information on the island in exchange for Gabimaru's strength. Gabimaru questioned Yuzuriha's intentions, after which she told everyone about her life and her ill sister and that she only wished to stay alive and return home to her. After a few discussions, Gabimaru agreed to partner with her. In the meantime, Sagari fainted, while thinking about how useless she is.

In a brief flashback, we saw Toma reuniting with his elder brother, Aza Chobei, in jail. Toma informed Chobei about the Shinsenkyo expedition as an opportunity to evade the authorities, which he accepted. In the present, Chobei and Toma encountered monsters on the island, and Chobei fought them off while Toma watched him impressively, wondering how his brother would always adapt to changes.

Meanwhile, Nurugai stood back as his Asaemon beheaded a monster, and on the other hand, Senta carried an unconscious Sagiri with Gabimaru, Yuzuriha, Genji, and Senta by their side.
