Destiny 2 The Witch Queen expansion will go live soon, but you will probably experience a laggy connection and long queue times right at the launch of the DLC.
If you have been a Destiny 2 player for a long time, then you probably know how crowded the servers could get when a new expansion launches. Even if you manage to log in to the game servers in the early hours, you will have a rough and laggy experience.
As far as the unofficial information reveals, over one million players have already pre-ordered The Witch Queen expansion, and when a majority of that amount attempts to log in to the servers right at launch, you should expect long queue times.
Destiny 2 The Witch Queen Best Queue Times
The first and most important suggestion is not to queue right at launch. You might think queuing as early as possible will let you jump into the game before other players, but you are not the only one with the same idea!
Actually, the reason why we face long queue times when a DLC launch is the aforementioned idea. We suggest you wait at least 20 minutes after launch and then start the queue.
If you couldn’t log in after 20 minutes, come back an hour later and try again. The later you play the game, the better your experience would be. Even if you connect to the servers during the initial minutes of launch, you might get kicked due to login issues at the back end.
Destiny 2 is now available for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Stadia, and PC. The Witch Queen expansion will go live today!
