Destiny 2 Stingray error has been haunting PC players for several hours now, but Bungie is determined to fix the issue with a small update coming out later today.
As a free-to-play game, Destiny 2 is available on a wide variety of platforms. On PC, you can either play it on Steam or run it through the Microsoft Store. However, the game seems to have had some serious issues with Microsoft Store recently as players cannot log into the game anymore.

It’s been over 10 hours now that many players across the world report facing the Stingray error when trying to play Destiny 2 on PC through Microsoft Store. The Beyond Light expansion is about to leave PC Game Pass soon, and that’s why it is so important for gamers to finish the campaign before it’s no longer available.
How to Fix the Destiny 2 Stingray Error
In order to fix this issue, you will need to download the upcoming update of the game, which is promised to be available today on PC. The release time of the update is yet to be known, but Bungie mentioned in a tweet that it will be available on April 15.
UPDATE: We are currently working on a fix for this issue to be deployed tomorrow, April 15. Players will be unable to sign in on Microsoft Store for PC until the fix is live.

Unfortunately, there is no temporary or manual workaround for this issue at the moment, unless you play it through Steam, which will require a full download of the game.
It’s yet to be seen whether there would be a server downtime for the upcoming hotfix or not, but since it’s something tied to Microsoft Store, there probably won’t be any maintenance.
Destiny 2 is now available for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
