Recently, Hunter x Hunter anime (2011) got a special illustration in the latest Shonen Jump Issue, and here’s everything you need to know about it.
Hunter x Hunter is a top-rated Japanese anime series based on a manga written and illustrated by Yoshihiro Togashi. Madhouse and Nippon Animation studios premiered the second TV anime in October 2011.
The studio restarted the anime from the first manga chapter promising to do things better than the 1999’s anime version, and honestly, it didn’t disappoint. Madhouse’s anime version was critically acclaimed by fans for its animation, fight sequences, and storytelling. The anime got 148 episodes in total, and the final episode aired in September 2014.

Hunter x Hunter Anime’s 10th Anniversary
On October 2nd, the 2011 version of Hunter x Hunter anime celebrated its 10th anniversary. Of course, several fans went online to share their feelings about one of the greatest Japanese anime of all time. However, this week’s Shonen Jump Issue also received an illustration to celebrate the anime’s tenth anniversary.
The illustration features Gon, Killua, Leorio, Kurapika, and Hisoka, in all their glory. Simply looking at this illustration brings back so many memories for Hunter x Hunter fans; here you go, take a look at it yourself:

It’s important to note that there isn’t any announcement around the anime or manga series. Also, Togashi isn’t the artist who worked on the special illustration.
Hunter X Hunter fans are well aware that after facing multiple hiatuses, the manga series went on its longest break on November 26th, 2018. Since then, there’s no news from Yoshihiro Togashi about the manga’s return. So, manga readers are left wondering if they’ll ever get to see how and if Gon’s story will come to an end.
