Im 5'10" and i use off the rack clubs.... Standard length loft and lie (For Wilson)..... Although having said that... There isnt one set standard of length throughout the manufacturers....
So an off the rack set of TM's could usually be longer than other manufacturers or Vice Verse.....
The question i would ask is say you played Tm's for a long time and never had a fitting and decided to change to Pings or Titleist off the rack....As you can see below.. This is only a few manufacturers 7 Iron specs....
TM Burner 7 iron 37"
Ping G20 7 iron 36.75"
Wilsonstaff Ci11 37.5"
Titleist Ap1 37"
Mizuno JPX 825 36.75"
So what is deemed standard and what does a shorter or taller person use if they buy off the rack?
My own clubs 7 iron is actually 37.25"....
So would a change to say a Ping iron off the rack fit me better at 36.75"s?
