Jackie Chan Refuses to Retire at 69 as Action Legend Set to Play in Panda Rescue Movie Alongside Rush Hour 4

In April, legendary actor Jackie Chan turned 69. While many people prefer to retire at that age, Chan doesn’t show signs of stopping any time soon. Since the 1960s, the actor has appeared in more than 150 films and still has more projects lined up such as Rush Hour 4, Legend, and New Police Story 2. Now, it has been confirmed that Chan will be appearing in an action/comedy movie called Panda Plan.

Directed by Chinese filmmaker Zhang Luan, Panda Plan was announced on the last day of Tokyo’s TIFFCOM content market and is all set to make its sales debut at the American Film Market next week in Los Angeles.

Actor Jackie Chan adds one more project to his lineup as The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the legendary actor will be appearing in Chinese filmmaker Zhang Luan’s upcoming movie, Panda Plan. Not much is known about the film at the moment. On 27th October, the film was announced and very soon more information will come forward. The film will be produced by Mandarin Motion Pictures and Wishart Media Co.

The film focuses on a rare baby panda with a dark circle around just one eye, but when a Middle Eastern tycoon attempts to kidnap the zoo’s baby pandas, Chan is forced to go on a rescue mission. The film will also feature Shi Ce, Wei Xiang, and Han Yanbo.

Jackie Chan will voice Master Monkey / Li Shan in Kung Fu Panda 4

Panda Plan is not the only Panda-related movie Chan will work on. He is all set to voice Master Monkey / Li Shan in the upcoming Kung Fu Panda 4. After 7 long years, fans are finally getting the fourth installment in the Kung Fu Panda franchise. The expectations are quite high as the previous movie in the franchise was a massive success financially.

Apart from this, Chan is also working in Rush Hour 4 as the actor himself confirmed the fourth film in the franchise in December 2022. Not a lot is known about the film at the moment but it is reportedly in production and fans can expect an announcement soon. It seems like Chan has no plans for retirement right now as he has a handful of projects coming up, including a sequel to his 2004 flick New Police Story.
