But it also makes sense to me that Joy would move onto other things--especially more creative ones. She told Deadline she's also writing a play--and someone with her smarts and humor could obviously do a lot of good as a producer. Still, will I miss her shuffling her cue cards, shaking her head and cracking wise at every headline or starlet that passes across the View stage reeking of BS?
I sure will. But then, I have a love of The View that defies logic, age appropriateness (let's face it, the show's gotten older over the years), and natural human tolerance for cheesy ad segments and Mario Cantone. I just love it. Always have--and that has a lot to do with Joy, who has long made me think and laugh at the same time.
