Julia Roberts has something other than independence to celebrate on the Fourth of July. In honor of her 21st wedding anniversary, the Oscar-winning actor, who tends to keep her private life private, shared a PDA-filled throwback on her Instagram grid.
On Tuesday, July 4, Roberts posted an photo of herself and her husband, Danny Moder, making out. “💥 21 💥 #truelove #heckyeah #fromhereonout,” she wrote in the caption. Over the years, the couple has rarely shared anything with the public save for her annual anniversary gram, which appears to be the path to success for Hollywood relationships.

Roberts met Moder on the set of her 2001 film The Mexican, which costarred Brad Pitt and where Moder was the cinematographer. On July 4, 2002, they married in a private ceremony. I don’t remember what I was doing on that day, but it most likely involved a Razor scooter. The couple has three children together: twins Phineas and Hazel, 18, and Henry, 16. Roberts was pregnant with the twins while filming Ocean’s 12, so her pregnancy and the fact that she is Julia Roberts were written into the film.
If anything, the anniversary post serves as a humbling reminder that 2002 was 21 years ago and not just yesterday. Congrats to Julia and Danny for making it as a Hollywood couple after more than two decades!
