Kojima Productions' New Logo Meaning Explained by Hideo Kojima; Designed by Yoji Shinkawa

Today Hideo Kojima formed a new studio, named Kojima Productions like his former team at Konami.

Following the announcement, the legendary developer also revealed that the new logo has a deeper meaning, which is uplifting and forward-looking like the studio’s mission statement:

“Aiming for the new world with the latest technology and pioneering spirit”

Doesn’t it just make you smile?

Kojima-san also confirmed that the new logo has been designed by veteran Metal Gear Solid Character, Environment and Mecha Designer Yoji Shinkawa.

Considering the fact that Kojima-san expressed interest in virtual reality before, the fact that the logo basically represents a headset, and the mention of the latest technology, could Kojima-san’s new game be a VR experience?

We have no way to be sure for now, but the idea is definitely intriguing.
