I have a weakness for bags. Tote bags, trendy bags, classic bags, bags I’ll carry once or twice then display in my closet like multi-pocketed pieces of artwork. Maybe it’s because I grew up fascinated by the Olsen twins’ giant bags. (What were they carrying in those bags? Each other?) Maybe it’s because I saw this photo of Paris Hilton and Kim Kardashian carrying matching Louis Vuitton bags on a particularly formative day. All I know is that I search early-aughts Chanel bags on The Real Real more than I’d care to admit. Actually, who am I kidding? I’m proud of the way I spend my free time. Some people have ASMR videos. I have bags.
And while I technically don’t need any more bags, one or two extras wouldn’t hurt, right? I’ve been saving for a rainy day, and it’s the holiday season, after all. I should treat myself—as should you. I can’t exactly afford the bags the celebrities, below, are carrying, but they can serve as inspo for my next purchase. And yours.
