Luke was born on June 26, 2002, in Oklahoma City, and grew up in Nichols Hills. He attended Christ the King Catholic School and Bishop McGuinness High School, where he excelled both academically and socially. Luke was an AP student, served on the student council all four years of high school, and was the class president for two years. He was also a talented athlete, playing on the golf team and serving as the Master of Assemblies, where he emceed school events and rallies with his captivating speeches.
Luke had many close friends, some of whom he attended school with from pre-school through twelfth grade. His infectious personality and kind heart endeared him to his peers and teachers alike.

College Years
After graduating from McGuinness, Luke attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C., where he majored in Political Science. Luke was passionate about politics and was driven to make a positive impact on his community. He interned with Oklahoma Congressman Tom Cole and for the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing, and Urban Development. At home, he interned with OKC Mayor David Holt. Luke was also a writer and Sports Editor for the GW newspaper.
Luke's freshman year roommates became a tight-knit group that supported him during his time away from home. Luke was always a student of life, and his analytical mind coupled with his varied interests made him wise beyond his years.

Luke's Interests and Hobbies
Luke's interests ranged from sports statistics to presidential biographies to obscure Senate subcommittee hearings. He had an encyclopedic knowledge of sports and was an avid and meticulous collector of basketball cards. Like many members of his Cooper family, Luke was musical, playing guitar and piano, and he had a surprisingly good singing voice.
Luke's Relationships
Luke had a special relationship with every member of his large family. Since moving to DC, not a day went by without at least one phone call to his mom, Sarah, who was his steadfast champion in all things. He and his dad, Rob, bonded over the Dallas Cowboys and frequent discussions about Luke's future.
