Founder, chairman and CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg has announced that the parent company is testing a subscription service which will allow Instagram and Facebook users to pay to get verified.
Mark Zuckerberg announced this via his social media platforms. According to him, the subscription service, “Meta Verified” lets you verify your account with a government ID, get a blue verification badge, and extra impersonation protection against accounts claiming to be you, subscribers also get direct access to customer support.
He added that “Meta Verified” will start at $11.99 a month on the web or $14.99 a month on iOS, and the company will begin releasing it in Australia and New Zealand this week and more countries soon.

Meta formerly known as Facebook is an American multinational technology conglomerate based in Menlo Park, California. The company owns social networking sites, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, among other products and services.
