The latest balance update for Marvel Snap went live earlier today, delivering some stat changes to a bunch of existing cards and removing one of the most infamous locations from the game entirely. Krakoa will no longer appear among the locations you get in Marvel Snap matches, but it is not off the board forever.According to the official patch notes, Krakoa is going offline for a while until the developers at Nuverse redesign the card and bring it back with some new modifiers. The card has been one of the least-favorite locations in Marvel Snap, as players believe it is quite difficult to prepare for strategically.

In case you are not familiar with it, Krakoa was a location that used to take over the players' decks and play a random card from each player's hand, leading up to the same location. This modifier made it so difficult for players to have a strategy for Krakoa, as drawing cards from the deck is already something based on your chance. So, players' only preparation was to save their best cards for Turn 5 to have a higher chance of Krakoa playing a higher-tier card. Of course, there are a few cards, like Nightcrawler, that allow you to reposition them even after playing, but that's not a common ability.
For now, there is no official date on when we can expect the reworked Krakoa to return, but the developers informed us in the recent patch notes that the next balance update has been pushed back from July 6 to July 11 due to holidays.
