The creators of Mercenary Enrollment have announced the release date of Chapter 149 as they said next update of the series will be out soon
Chapter 149 will turn out to be a gift for Dushik, who was severely damaged and at the end of his rope. Since his introduction in the novel, Seokbae has done nothing except cause difficulty for Dushik and even Ijin, who has grown to care about the infamous mobster.

Seokbae is a greedy old man who betrays Dushik and mocks him for his lack of desire, despite the fact that Dushik merely wishes to avoid unnecessary fights. Even when he was actively bleeding from a knife wound, Seokbae’s men couldn’t compete with Dushik.
Hyunsung pretended to be Seokbae’s puppet and stabbed him in the back when Dushik was least expecting it. Hyunsung is a gullible fool who was seduced by Seokbae and did as he was instructed for the promise of a prize.
Dushik mocks Seokbae for being a coward and employing Hyunsung to do his dirty job, which enrages Seokbae. Seokbae orders his men to charge at Dushik and most likely murder him, but Dushik easily defeats the thugs on his own. Unfortunately, Dushik’s body begins to fail him as a result of the wound.
Hyunsung draws Dushik into Seokbae’s trap and stabs him in the side with a knife in the previous chapter. The reason Seokbae brought an injured Dushik to himself was a mistaken and perverse attempt to settle previous bets.
