Police apprehended a convicted robber after an escape early Saturday.
Donald Sorrell, who is serving a 20-year sentence on five robbery counts from Hendricks County, escaped from the Miami Correctional Facility. He was classified and housed as a medium security offender. After his capture, he was taken to Westville Correctional Facility's Maximum Control Unit.
Local law enforcement officers made the arrest. The Miami Correctional Facility was placed on lockdown after the escape as police investigate the incident.
