I could hardly believe last October when Coldplay announced a world tour, including tonight's show at SDCCU Stadium (Qualcomm Stadium until two weeks ago). It seemed crazy to announce a show almost a whole year in advance, yet here we are. Time flies, stadium shows are a massive undertaking, and the big night is finally here. I still remember the first time I heard "Yellow" on the radio and while the band is not exactly my taste, their hitmaking power is undeniable and they always deliver a spectacle for their beloved fans. Around town, Casbah hosts a benefit for Mexico and Puerto Rico, Shooter Jennings returns to Belly Up and OC duo the Garden play an all-ages show at the Irenic.
