MOORESVILLE. N.C. — There was an explosion on Templeton Road after a car accident early Sunday morning, Mount Mourne Fire Department said.
The fire department said they first saw a fire in the woods near the 400 block of Templeton Road. When the firefighters investigated, they found one person trapped in their car after a single-car accident.

Mount Mourne Fire Department along with the Mooresville Fire Department put the fire out and freed the person.
The person was transported by MedCenter Air.
The NC State Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
