One Piece Chapter 1105: Eiichiro Oda Might Just Make Kizaru Follow Garp’s Footsteps

One Piece Chapter 1104 was filled with action and adventure as Kuma finally made his way onto Egghead Island and punched Saturn into the ground. The chapter also had some sweet moments as Kuma was finally able to meet his daughter Bonney, who, after all, came to know about Kuma’s sacrifice.

However, the last few moments of the chapter saw a huge danger coming in the way of Kuma, Vegapunk, and the Straw Hats as the Buster Call protocol has been initiated to destroy Egghead Island and everyone on it. This is surely a big issue as Luffy has not been seen since, and Kuma is not able to move.

However, one aspect of the chapter has made fans question the loyalty of Admiral Kizaru towards the World Government and the Navy. This may very well be a turning point in One Piece chapter 1105, as Eiichiro Oda might just make Kizaru follow in the footsteps of Monkey D. Garp.

One Piece Chapter 1104 Shows Kizaru Getting Sad For Kuma and Bonney

Kizaru’s behavior has been quite strange since coming to Egghead, and this behavior has continued throughout his battle with Luffy. The Admiral, charged with eliminating Vegapunk, struggles to balance the relationships he has with the scientist, Kuma, and Bonney, with his responsibilities as a Marine.

In the final few moments of the One Piece chapter, Vegapunk calls Kizaru a depressed man and criticizes him for his discomfort, even going so far as to question if he has a heart. After witnessing his friends Kuma and Bonney being attacked by Saturn, the Admiral said, “I am a miserable sight. I should have brought darker shades.”

This implies that he wants to hide his tears. This answer subtly confirmed his obvious uneasiness. Though he fights and occasionally launches attacks, Kizaru is not willing to go any further than that. He has absolutely no plan of using his powers to their full potential at this time.

Kizaru is Following Garp’s Footsteps

The dilemma of Kizaru fighting against the Straw Hats, Bonney, and Kuma is quite similar to Garp’s predicament during the Marineford arc when Luffy and the others were trying to save Ace and Garp had to choose his duty over his grandson. That was truly a tough time for Garp, not only as a grandfather of Ace but as a Vice Admiral of the Marines.

Just as Garp had to forcefully choose his duty over his relationship with Ace, Kizaru has been trying to do his job instead of saving his friends. However, he still feels sad for them as there is nothing he can do that could take him out of this dilemma. Oda san is making Kizaru follow the footsteps of Garp. However, the next chapter will decide what will Kizaru ultimately choose.
