Race fans react to first 'Back Home Again in Indiana' since Jim Nabors' death

INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) – Hoosiers best know Jim Nabors for his rendition of "Back Home Again in Indiana" and today's 102nd running of the Indianapolis 500 marks the first since his death.

Nabors sang at nearly every Indy 500 from 1972 to 2014.

Nabors died at age 87 last year.

Jim Cornelison had the honor of keeping the tradition alive.

Cornelison has performed the national anthem before Chicago Blackhawks hockey games since 2007.
