Revealed: Why Kizz Daniel refused to perform in Tanzania

The promoter of the Tanzanian show where popular Nigerian singer, Kizz Daniel failed to show up, has come out to narrate why he got the singer arrested.

Kizz Daniel was paid to perform at an event in the East African country, but he didn’t appear for his performance, leaving fans and organisers disappointed.

In an interview with On-air-personality, Daddy Freeze, the organiser of the show, Stephen Uwa, gave an elaborate explanation of all that transpired.

He said the singer refused to perform because the airline forgot to bring his gold chains.

According to Stephen Uwa, the airline failed to bring the singer’s gold chains in a bag, and Kizz Daniel insisted he would not perform without adorning his gold chains.

“He said the airline didn’t bring his bag that is why he cannot perform because his gold chain is not there and he had a gold chain on his neck. He wanted everything.”

Uwa also explained that Kizz Daniel was paid $60,000 as performance fee, adding he spent at least $300,000 on the show, which flopped.

He added that he tried to persuade Kizz Daniel for about five hours and went on his knees, begging the singer to perform and save his career, but he refused.

He said, “My company is new here. PaulO is the one I booked Kizz from. PaulO cried all night trying to beg this guy ‘Please go to this show,’ he called in from America!

I paid this guy $60,000 to perform on this show. I went down on my knees. I was like, ‘Bro, you are damaging me. I am trying to build my company here. You are going to damage me’. I begged this guy ‘Save my career, save me.”

Stephen Uwa also told Daddy Freeze that angry fans destroyed some of the items brought in by the sponsors of the show, damaging the whole venue.
