The trouble is, even quite expensive putters come with cheap no brand shafts. It's a swizz, but it's what it is. You can get rid of the rust brie fly, but it's there in the back ground. 30 odd years ago, pretty much any irons over a couple of years had pitted shafts. It was common practice after cleaning your clubs to apply a bit of 3 in 1 with some wire wool.
