ORANGE COUNTY, Indiana — Strong storms from Sunday night caused significant damage and power outages in French Lick and Paoli.
The Indiana Department of Transportation reported at 8:57 a.m. Monday that U.S. 150 at Triangle Road was closed due to downed power lines. The street was reopened around 10 a.m.
Orange County authorities put out a statement on Facebook Monday morning, saying that there is "no power in the town of Paoli at this time," and "the rest of county has widespread power outages also."

Monday afternoon, the National Weather Service Louisville office said its survey team near Paoli determined a "preliminary EF-1 tornado rating with 95 mph winds" touched down in the area.
