Two Different Kansas City Chiefs Players Welcomed Babies on Super Bowl Sunday

Win or lose, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman Jr. is going to leave Super Bowl LVII with something priceless to show for it. Just ahead of the game on Sunday, February 12, Hardman took to Twitter to announce that his girlfriend, Chariah Gordon, was going into labor.

“OMG HER WATER BROKE,” Hardman wrote as congratulations began to pour in. The pair announced their pregnancy to the public in October during a gender reveal party. Tonight, Hardman’s team will face off against the Philadelphia Eagles. However, the player is on injured reserve and won’t be playing in the game himself.

But Hardman wasn’t the only Kansas City Chiefs player expecting a child heading into Super Bowl Sunday. Per NFL Network correspondent Tom Pelissero, Chiefs guard Nick Allegretti welcomed twin girls with his wife Christina earlier this morning. “Nick and his parents FaceTimed live from the hotel lobby with Christina and her family,” Pelissero wrote on Twitter. “Two new members of Chiefs Kingdom.”
