VALORANT players are eagerly looking forward to the release of Episode 4; well, here’s everything you need to know about the update’s release date and time.
Riot Games’ VALORANT grabbed the attention of millions of players in its previous three Episodes. So far, the developers have given us eighteen agents in the game, and now, it’s almost time for the 19th agent to appear in theFPS title.
Neon, the next Duelist, will be the first Filipino agent in Valorant, and everyone’s excited to try out the new agent after Riot officially revealed her last week. Along with that, the upcoming Episode 4 Act 1 update will introduce a brand new battle pass and the Protocol 781-A weapon skins.

When Does Valorant Episode 4 Start?
According to Riot Games, Valorant Episode 4 will begin on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022, or Wednesday, January 12th, depending on your region. So, that’s the day when the current battle pass will leave the game, so make sure to complete your progress if you are still behind.
Valorant Episode 4 Start Time
Similar to last time, Riot didn’t officially reveal a release time for Valorant Episode 4; however, we do have some idea about Episode 4’s start time.
Based on the start time of Valorant Episode 3 Act 2 and Act 3, we can assume that Riot Games will release the Episode 4 update at 6 AM PST (Pacific Timing) in North America. Usually, the maintenance time for the new Act stays for around 4 hours. So, the game’s server would be offline during that period, and players in NA will get to experience the new content along with Neon around 10 AM PST on January 11th.
Also, note that the release time for new updates is different for every region. Meaning, if Riot follows the release pattern for the last Act, players in Europe will get the Episode 4 Act 1 update around 5 AM GMT on January 12th. This has been Riot’s trend for the past few updates. But of course, the release pattern might be different this time, and we’ll update this post if that turns out to be the case.
When is Valorant Episode 3 Act 3 Competitive Queue Ending?
Valorant’s competitive queue ends a few hours before the update’s release. Players can’t play Ranked matches in that phase, so Unranked, Custom, and Spike Rush game modes are the only options.
Currently, the in-game status shows that the competitive queue for the current Act will end at 7:30 PM IST (Indian timing) on January 11th, 2022. You can check the end time for your specific region by visiting your Act Rank tab in the game.
