Your morning Starbucks order can now match your dye job with vanilla blonde hair. Bright blonde always gives a light, lively touch to any hair look, but this latest blonde hair trend also adds some depth with warmer tones.
This elevated shade of blonde is versatile, and a favorite for Wella Professionals brand ambassador Briana Cisneros. Because of its soft and natural color, Cisneros says vanilla blonde hair “compliments most complexions across the board.”
“It is a soft, neutral, creamy hue, so there is a slight bit of warmth,” says Cisneros. “I’d say if you are really into the super-ashy tones that reflects silver, this might not be the choice for you. So many of us are welcoming some warmer gold tones into our lives, because for so long blonde just couldn’t be icy enough and it really is making a huge shift to the other end of the spectrum.”
If you're ready to tell your stylist to give you a vanilla blonde dye, Cisneros says it's crucial to bring visual examples with an inspiration image.
“What vanilla means to one person could be slightly different than what someone else might picture,” Cisneros says. “Just like how there are so many different shades of white when trying to pick out a paint color, there’s also innumerable shades of blonde.”
