Very Chic (and Super-Sweet) Designer Rachel Roy Is Our Glamour Style Icon of the Week

__GLAMOUR: Who are your favorite designers to wear?

RR:__ I personally love Rick Owens, Manolo Blahnik, Jacquie Aiche, [German model] Manon von Gerkan, and The Row.

__GLAMOUR: What are some of your biggest wardrobe regrets?

RR:__ I used to wear white scrunchy socks with my Levi's 501s. I did it because my jeans were secondhand and not long enough. What I regret is the lack of confidence more than the cheerleader-style socks. However, even with that said, wardrobe regrets cannot truly be stated as "regrets." It is in those fashion disastrous moments that you discover what works and what doesn't. Style is about evolution of self.

__GLAMOUR: What advice would you give our readers on finding their own personal style?

RR:__ I firmly believe that your personal evolution will define your style as you learn more about yourself. To be honest, having the confidence to wear what you want and wear it well is half the battle. People are attracted to confidence, happiness, and intelligence.

For example, I love choosing something dear to me and finding a way to incorporate it into my wardrobe. I love to collect shells, and therefore, I am drawn to jewelry that contains shells. Mesi Jilly is a favorite of mine, and each time I wear her shell rings, they remind me of the ocean, which is a source of peace and happiness for me. Find something that is unique to you and work it into your wardrobe. With this tip, you will be well on your way to defining a personal style that is not only unique but a style that will make you exude confidence and happiness.
