World No. 25 Nick Kyrgios‘ run at the 2022 US Open finally came to an end as the 23rd seed lost to 27th seeded Karen Khachanov in the quarter-finals of the Grand Slam denying the Australian his second Grand Slam semi-final this season after the runner-up finish in Wimbledon.
Khachanov won the match 7-5, 4-6, 7-5, 6-7(7), 6-4 in 3 hours and 39 minutes to become the first player to beat Kyrgios in the 5th set of a Grand Slam and also enter his first-ever major semi-final after what has been a rather dull season for the Russian.
Nick Kyrgios labelled ‘Crybaby’ on social media after latest antics
With Kyrgios looking to make merry of his form this season, the Australian suffered back-to-back defeats on consecutive days as he earlier lost the Men’s Doubles quarter-finals with Thanasi Kokkinakis and had to see himself lose against Khachanov missing out on the semi-final spot.
As expected, Kyrgios did not take the defeat sportingly and the Australian was back to his worst behaviour as he smashed two rackets in a fit of rage after losing the match. Nick showed respect to Karen at the net and to the umpire as well but didn’t reciprocate the same for his rackets smashing them one after the other.
Nick‘s behaviour was once again criticised by fans who seem to be fed up with the Australian’s antics every time he suffers a setback with some going to the extent of asking for a permanent ban on the controversial player who is known for paying massive fans due to his actions.
Keep suporting this clown fanboys, hopefully he retires sooner than later, is making tennis values very dirty with ATP and umpires permissions. Vs Daniil he throw 2 rackets and 0 warning, today once and the same, I hope a big fine.

No respect for your own sport. I dont understand why he's not banned yet

What a pathetic loser.
He does need to seek for assistance from psychologists.

He’s such a dick. This is why I’m so glad he lost

It must kill him inside that he talked shit about Ruud only to see him become a much better hard court player with already a Masters 1000 final and now potentially another GS slam on what was supposed to be his weakest surface. Not bad for a clay specialist huh 😉

I’m thinking this footage might be valuable in court in October for the assault charge against him. Regardless, I can’t stand him and his behavior! Glad he’s gone!

in all that drama, Karen goes about his business & celebrates. lmao 🔥

Who sponsors him for racquets and more. Hardly respect for their brands.

"New York, give it up for Kyrgios!" LMAO 🤣

Camera man got that close up of the racket🤣
— Kima Sudan (@KIMASUDAN) September 7, 2022
This guy is the worst. No respect for himself, the sport or the fans. A crybaby when things don’t go his way.

Nick is a talented player who lets his mind overtake his game. Lethal with that serve. However, I for one am tired of the racquet smashing, tirades against judges, and abuse leveled at his box occupants. Not a good way to conduct oneself.

Where is the moral police shitting on Novak #Djokovic?! The second racket bounced dangerously close to the umpire – he COULD HAVE BEEN HURT.#Kyrgios didn’t even LOOK THAT WAY to make sure his racket didn’t hurt someone.

This is WORTHY of #default– but he already lost
As Nick packs his bags and leaves for Australia to visit his sick parents and take a small break from tennis, Khachanov will take on 5th seeded Casper Ruud in the semi-finals as both men go looking for their first major.
