JoJolion, Part 8 ofthe JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure manga by Hirohiko Araki, is officially coming to an end after over a decade.
Shueisha pre-publishes JoJolion every moth in Ultra Jump magazine. The magazine releases usually between the 15th and 20th of each month. So the usual magazines leaks start popping out before that. This month’s issue, officially titled the August 2021 issue (magazines are numbered one month ahead release) releases on July 16. And some of its contents were leaked as usual.
When will JoJolion end? Ending date, chapter number confirmed
The leaks revealed that chapter 109 of JoJolion has an announcement: Chapter 110 is the final chapter of the series, coming in the September Issue of Ultra Jump, which will be released on August 19. The page from Ultra Jump with the ending announcement was also leaked:
As we explained in our past coverage, while the rumor claiming JoJolion would end in July (chapter 109) was definitely false, it was likely the manga was ending soon. Especially following its recent developments seen in Chapter 108. Which I’m staying vague on on purpose to avoid spoilers. The manga is ending for real now.
Hirohiko Araki began JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 8: JoJolion in May 2011. The manga will have lasted for for ten years and four months. JoJo itself began in 1986. While initially looking a bit similar to Hokuto no Ken, it ended up becoming an incredibly unique work for reasons too long to tell. You already know about JoJo if you’re reading this article anyways.
Will Araki make a JoJo Part 9? Predictions
For now no one knows, there will probably be some sort of announcement in the final chapter of JoJolion, so we can only wait and see. I personally don’t see JoJo as a whole ending now. I believe JoJolion chapter 110 and ending will announce Part 9. Though there might be a break before it actually begins.
When it comes to anime adaptations, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is getting its Part 6: Stone Ocean animated. A new event with more details on the anime is coming on August 8. Part 9 of the manga can be announced there as well. Either way, you can always hit me up on Twitter @A_iyane07 to chat more about anime and manga.
