The show kicks off with a tribute to Pat Patterson. The entire Smackdown roster is on stage. WWE CEO and Chairman Vince McMahon is also present.
Roman Reigns interview
Kayla Braxton is in the ring, while she welcomes Roman Reigns. The Universal Champion walks out with Jey Uso and Paul Heyman. Reigns mentions that Kayla forgot to mention one of his accolades, which Heyman completes.
A highlight from last episode of Smackdown is shown, when Owens called out Reigns. She asks the Champion whether he is afraid of Owens. Reigns laughs and says Kayla is ruining the opportunity of interviewing him.
Kayla moves to her next question, she asks whether Reigns is manipulating and using Uso. Reigns refutes by saying that he is a protector and a provider. Paul Heyman mentions that Reigns is a motivator. The Smackdown ratings are at an all-time high because Uso is in the main events.
Kevin Owens comes out. Owens says that they can settle their issues right now. Uso accepts. But Owens says he is talking to the head of the table, not the busboy. Owens even says that if not now, then at TLC. He suggests a stipulation including tables, ladders and chairs. The Universal Championship will be on the line too. Reigns accepts.
Natalya def. Bayley
Bianca Belair is on commentary for this match. As the match begins, Bayley hits a Stunner, as Natalya falls outside the ring. She hits a dropkick and starts talking trash to Belair. Natalya pushes Bayley into the steel steps.
Bayley continues to attack, but Natalya hits a Sharpshooter as Bayley taps out.
Big E, Daniel Bryan and Rey Mysterio def. Dolph Ziggler, Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn
Rey Mysterio and Nakamura start the match. Mysterio hits a hurricanrana as the match begins. Multiple tags are made, as each wrestler hits their iconic moves.
Daniel Bryan gets Sami Zayn into a Yes Lock. Zayn gets a rope break with his foot. He kicks Bryan and hits a Brainbuster. He goes for the cover but Bryan reverses it with a cover. Zayn kicks out. Bryan gets the pin through the Inside Cradle.
All six men stand face to face inside the ring. Nakamura and Sami Zayn are thrown outside the ring. Bryan hits an atomic drop Ziggler, followed by a 619 from Mysterio and the Big Ending from Big E.
Baron Corbin def. Murphy
The Mysterio family is accompanying Murphy. While Corbin has two henchmen by the ringside. These henchmen are Blake and Cutler from The Forgotten Sons. The action in the match continued outside the ring.
The henchmen attacked The Mysterio family while the match was progressing. Murphy went out to save them. When he returned to the ring, Corbin hit him with an End of Days for the win.
Kevin Owens and Otis def. Roman Reigns and Jey Uso
Before the match, Owens mentions that he used to respect Reigns, because he would never look down upon people. But Reigns is a different man now. Otis comes in. He agrees with Owens that Reigns doesn’t respect them anymore.
Roman Reigns doesn’t come out for the match. Uso is in the ring and starts against Otis. As the match progresses, Owens is tagged in. Uso is dominating against him with a Samoan Drop. The Universal Champion comes out with Paul Heyman.
Reigns enters and starts attacking Otis. He hits him with a Superman Punch. Owens and Uso are the legal men in the match. He grabs the steel steps and attacks Otis with it. Owens saves Otis by pushing off Reigns over the announcer’s table.
Jey and Owens are still the legal men. Owens hits a Stunner and goes for the cover. Reigns breaks it up and applies the guillotine. The referee calls for the bell. Owens and Otis win via disqualification.
Uso grabs two steel chairs. They attack Owens. Then Reigns hits Uso with the steel chair. He tells Owens that he has the whole world’s attention now.
