Aaron Judge is officially headed to the 2024 MLB All-Star Game in Arlington, Texas next month.
The Yankees slugger was the top vote-getter in the American League and all of Major League Baseball with 3,425,309 votes in Phase 1 of the voting – which automatically earns him a spot on the team.
It is his sixth All-Star game of his career and certainly well deserved. Judge entered Thursday with an MLB-leading 30 home runs and 77 RBI while posting a slash line of .309/.433/.712 and league-leading 1.145 OPS.
He is currently on pace for 59 home runs, three shy of the AL record he set in 2022 – which happened to be at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
The only other Yankee to advance into as a finalist in Phase 2 of the voting was Juan Soto, who is eligible for one of the remaining two outfield spots along with the Guardians’ Steven Kwan, Orioles’ Anthony Santander and Astros’ Kyle Tucker.
The MLB All-Star Game is set for July 16.
