Zendaya's threesome scene from 'Challengers' has Tom Holland fans worried

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Euphoria' star Zendaya gets caught up in a hot love triangle in her next movie 'Challengers.' The much-anticipated first trailer for Luca Guadagnino's upcoming feature film, 'Challengers,' has finally been released, giving fans their first glimpse of Zendaya and Josh O'Connor in the romantic sports comedy. The trailer of the sports drama released on Tuesday, June 20, as per Daily Mail. The MGM production is scheduled to have its theatrical premiere on September 15.

Zendaya, 26, who has been hanging out in London with her real-life boyfriend Tom Holland, 27, plays professional tennis player Tashi alongside O'Connor and Mike Faist. The on-screen chemistry between Zendaya and Holland in the 'Spider-Man' trilogy came alive as they are also involved in a real-life romance. Holland recently revealed to The Hollywood Reporter why he and Zendaya desire to keep their romantic life private. Holland stressed the importance of their relationship, saying, "Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of, and we want to keep it as sacred as possible."

Synopsis of 'Challengers'

The official synopsis of the movie reads, "'Challengers' is about three players who knew each other when they were teenagers as they compete in a tennis tournament to be the world-famous grand slam winner and reignite old rivalries on and off the court." The story of 'Challengers' centers on Tashi and her husband Art (Faist) as they meet up with Patrick (O'Connor), a former foe who also happens to be Tashi's ex-lover and best friend. Tashi persuades Art to sign up for the Challengers tennis tournament, but when Art finds out he'll be facing Patrick, drama — and fierce competition — follow.

Director Guadagnino told Variety that Zendaya trained with tennis professional and former player Brad Gilbert for three months. Speaking of the 'Euphoria' star, Guadagnino told Variety in October, "She’s wonderful. I mean, wow. We edited the movie and we almost actually don’t use any of her double. She’s so good." He added, "All three leads spent like three months working very hard—technically, athletically."
